What can be expected from Apple's latest release event?

Let's take a look at the products and updates that came from Apple's newest release event.

iPhone 15

The iPhone 15 is probably the biggest announcement from the Apple event. The Apple iPhone 15 release date will be toward the end of September. There will also be new iPhone 15 colors like coral pink, silver, yellow, and more. Apple is releasing four new models overall, with two mid-range sizes and two of the bigger "Pro" sizes, which includes the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The new iPhone 15 will also be outfitted with a new USB-C charging port, which works for Android phones as well as iPads, laptops, wireless headphones, and more.

The iPhone 15 also gets camera upgrades, including automatic portrait mode, as well as an "action button" to replace the mute switch which has been a staple of iPhone models for years. Little upgrades like these are common in many iPhone updates.

Apple Watch

Although Apple Watch models don't often see upgrades as comprehensive as those for iPhones, the Apple Watch Series 9 promises tons of great new features. This new Apple Watch qualifies as Apple's first-ever carbon-neutral product, and comes with a new "Double Tap" gesture which allows users to tap their index finger and thumb together twice to perform a variety of functions.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 was also unveiled, with the same updated technology found in the Apple Watch Series 9, continuing the do-it-all, durable reputation the original Apple Watch Ultra is known for.

AirPods Pro

The AirPods Pro will get an update that offers a new feature called Adaptive Audio. It will utilize machine learning and software to automatically turn down the volume and noise canceling when need so listeners can be better aware of their immediate surroundings. AirPod models will also be outfitted with USB-C capability.

iOS 17

As is the case with many Apple release events, a new version of their iOS software was also announced. New iOS 17 features include improved Autocorrect capabilities, offline Apple Maps, a Journal app, a new caller ID feature called "contact posters", and much more. The iOS 17 release date will likely be sometime in mid-September.
