Program Overview

Link is partnering with Mulberry, a trusted provider of product and shopping protection, to provide Link consumers with free protection plans so you can shop confidently. Once an eligible transaction is completed with Link, your protection plan is active and ready to go whenever you may need it.

You can view your coverage details, access customer support, and initiate a claim all from your Mulberry customer dashboard at any time. To access your dashboard, please activate your account by creating a password via the link in your Welcome email - this email should have been sent to you shortly after you completed your first eligible Link transaction. Several or all of the products in your transaction may be eligible for protection.

Coverage Details

Product Protection:

  • Coverage Summary: Covers breakdown, mechanical/electrical failures, product defects and malfunctions, and accidental damage on eligible products
  • Duration: 1 year from the date of purchase
  • Maximum Covered Transaction Value: $1,000
  • Maximum Payout Per Covered Transaction: $1,000
  • Maximum Claim Payout for an Eligible Product: original purchase price of the product
  • Maximum Number of Claims Per Product: n/a
  • Benefit Fulfillment: Fulfilled when limit of liability has been reached and/or term has expired
  • Eligible Products: All durable consumer goods that are NOT consumable goods, i.e. do not go away as they are used, with the exception of the below excluded products
  • Excluded Products: all consumable goods (food/drinks, makeup and personal care products, candles and incense), cars and car parts, tires and wheels, bikes/ebikes, scooters/skateboards, medication, animals, plants, travel costs, event tickets, commercial products

    • Refrigerator ice maker fails.
    • Clothes washing machine transmission fails.
    • Freezer compressor fails.
    • Your new leather jacket gets ripped by accident.
    • Toaster oven element fails to heat adequately.
    • Computer power supply fails.
    • Laptop is dropped and screen cracks.
    • Treadmill control panel fails to operate.
    • Structural failure of a couch.
    • Lamp falls off a table and breaks.
    • Ceiling fan motor fails. Box spring frame breaks.
    • Camera lens is damaged due to accidental damage from handling.
    • Flash unit fails to operate as expected.

    • Product is damaged during delivery or arrives damaged
    • Product is damaged during installation
    • Product has normal wear and tear from on-going usage
    • Product has been damaged over time by multiple incidents
    • Product has been neglected or misused

Mulberry Claims Process

Summary:

You can initiate a claim via your Mulberry customer dashboard within 30 days of a covered incident. You will be prompted to fill out a short form to file your claim. Please be sure to have all the below information and content ready so you can file a complete claim to reduce back and forth with our support team and expedite your claim processing time. Once your claim has been filed, the in-house US-based Mulberry support team will confirm the receipt of your claim and will be in contact shortly via email for next steps.

Claims Filing Requirements:

Product Protection Claim:

  • Transaction the claim corresponds to (merchant name, date of purchase, total transaction amount)
  • Product the claim pertains to (name and price)
  • Proof of purchase of the product (must show the merchant name, product name and price, and purchase date)
  • Description of the issue/damage
  • Picture or video showing the issue/damage
  • Date the issue/damage occurred

Once you receive your first Link Protection Plan powered by Mulberry, you’ll get access to your personalized customer dashboard where you can view all your plans, see coverage details, file claims, and check your claim status. To file a claim:

(a) Log in to your Mulberry customer dashboard

(b) Click on "File a Claim" on the left-hand menu

(c) Enter your claim details via the chat and submit!

Do I need the receipt from my purchase to file a claim? What if I don’t have it?

Yes, you will need receipts or proof of purchase to file a claim. Reach out to the merchant if you need assistance to find your proof of purchase.

What items are eligible for coverage with my plan?

Generally speaking, all durable consumer goods, i.e. a consumer product that does not go away as you use it, is eligible for product protection coverage with a few exclusions (see above coverage details).
