The following is a summary of Mulberry Protection Used & Vintage Plans (MUPP).

Those terms and conditions are the official statement of coverage, exclusions and limitations, and your responsibilities and rights under the program.
MUPP is not a Contract of Insurance. Mulberry Shield, Inc. issues a service agreement to the consumer.

How do I purchase Mulberry Protection?
MUPP is offered through participating marketplaces in a peer-to-peer environment.
How do I activate my Mulberry Protection?
You will receive a welcome email. Please click on the link to create an account. Log in to your dashboard to see your policy and other information.
What is covered?
Depending on the MUPP You purchased You may be covered for Malfunction of your product or Accidental Damage from Handling. Accidents are covered if the ADH coverage option is included in your plan.
When is my product covered?
Your product is covered from the date of purchase and receipt for Accidental Damage from Handling if this is included in Your Plan.
For malfunction, your product is covered by the manufacturer and in some cases the retailer. Each retailer/manufacturer has their own terms of coverage.
What does the MUPP protect my items from?
You are covered against:
- Accidental damage if this is included in your plan
- Mechanical/electrical component failures
- Damage & malfunctions
- Stains & spills (for selected products & types of stains)
Here are some examples:
- Guitar pickups fail
- Electronics are damaged by a power surge while using a surge protector
- Frame fails for a furniture item
- Synthesizer or keyboard keys fail or do not function properly.
What is not covered?
Issues with products discovered upon receipt as a result of misrepresentation of the seller and not returned within the marketplace return window.
- Products used commercially
- Damage that does not impair the proper performance of your product
- Damage caused by 3rd parties (including shipping)
- Damage caused by intentional acts
- Damage as a result of neglect & misuse & lack of cleaning and care
- Malfunction covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty
- Damage as a result of weather, acts of God, flooding, wind, fire, etc.
No coverage will apply for any issues occurring within the retailer’s return window that would otherwise qualify for return or exchange under the retailer’s policies.
When should I file a claim?
When you experience accidental damage from using your product as a result of a single incident, or if your product fails due to malfunction.
How do I file a claim?
Go to your Mulberry dashboard, choose the product for which you wish to file a claim, and follow the instructions. You are required to assist Mulberry in its review of your claim and promise not to file fraudulent claims. This includes providing photos and videos of the defective or damaged product. You are required to submit photos.
How much can I claim?
You can file as many claims as needed, but Mulberry will only be able to cover incidents/damages up to the purchase price.
Are there deductibles or fees?
You will not be required to pay a deductible nor service fee.
Will Mulberry repair or replace my damaged or malfunctioning product?
Depending on the issue with your product, Mulberry will at it’s sole discretion either repair or replace the products with a similar product of like kind and quality, or you will receive a reimbursement or settlement depending on the extent of the damage/malfunction to the product. It is in Mulberry’s sole discretion as to the method of repair and amount of reimbursement.
What examples of claims that are not covered?
Product is misrepresented by seller and buyer does not return within the marketplace specified return window.
Loss & Theft are not covered.
Multiple stains or damage to the product not occurring from a single incident are not covered.
Damages caused in shipping or moving (whether by you or a third party) are not covered.
Water damage as the result of weathering is not covered.
Fraudulent claims are not covered and will result in reporting of an illegal activity.

How can I file a claim?
Once you receive your first Link Protection Plan powered by Mulberry, you’ll get access to your personalized customer dashboard where you can view all your plans, see coverage details, file claims, and check your claim status. To file a claim:
(a) Log in to your Mulberry customer dashboard
(b) Click on "File a Claim" on the left-hand menu
(c) Enter your claim details via the chat and submit!

Do I need the receipt from my purchase to file a claim? What if I don’t have it?
Yes, you will need receipts or proof of purchase to file a claim. Reach out to the merchant if you need assistance to find your proof of purchase.
What items are eligible for coverage with my plan?
Generally speaking, all durable consumer goods, i.e. a consumer product that does not go away as you use it, is eligible for product protection coverage with a few exclusions (see above coverage details). For price drop and no-fee return protection, almost all consumer goods, both durable and consumable in nature, are covered, with a few exclusions including food/drinks, cars and car parts, tires and wheels, bikes/ebikes, scooters/skateboards, medication, animals, plants, travel costs, event tickets, and commercial products.
